However, common relationship problems such as: trauma, infidelity, differences in sexual desire, sexuality, transitions, finances, and stress may cause emotional distance and lack of intimacy. The goal of couples therapy is to help partners develop understanding and empathy, be more responsive to each other, increase intimacy, work through challenges, and sometimes, end the relationship amicably.
Whether experiencing sexual concerns, including but not limited to, erectile difficulties, pain during intercourse, or low/high libido. Sex Therapy is a form of talk therapy intended to address sexual and relationship problems. Sex Therapy is designed for both couples and individuals to address mental health issues and/or emotional concerns that affect a person’s sexual desire and/or performance. I believe an interdisciplinary approach to client care is also needed to rule out any medical issues.
